As a grassroots organization consisting of three non-salaried volunteers — a Veteran, a graphic designer, and a copywriter — we believe great change happens when many hands come together on a shared mission and vision.
We dedicated everything we had to initiate the “50 States: Veterans + Artists United” tour. We pitched proposals and fundraised to gain the support of key initial partners to get us started and on the road, but after completing 36 states and 38 projects we now require the rest of needed funds to complete our nationwide mission.
Now more than ever we need your help, but not the kind of help you’d expect.
We are not asking you for a donation (although those are always appreciated). Instead, we’re asking corporate America and their marketing departments to help us fund the project and further share these incredible stories.
Cold calling, emailing, and messaging companies and their gatekeepers could only get us so far so now we’re turning to the power of the people to help us get their attention and support.
We don’t mean to publicly out brands, some do incredible work and support other worthy causes and organizations. But we are asking them to strongly consider putting their marketing budgets to work towards a mission unlike any other.
We decided to opensource the partnerships we’re trying to initiate that we believe could become authentic relationships between a brand and an organization to create everlasting impact in communities across the country.
Share, retweet, and @ reply the brands you think should enlist their influence, platform, and to resources to help us share Veterans’ stories through art, design, fashion, and more.
