For the first time, we’re able to host our entry, “2nd Best Cup of Coffee in the World,” inside our own venue: the [HAS HEART] Coffee Shop
ARTIST STATEMENT:
Since 2012, ArtPrize has been the launching pad for [HAS HEART] to share veterans’ stories through collaborative design projects with artist partners.
Witnessing the impact each of our ArtPrize pop-up exhibits had on the community, coupled with the fact that each HERO[series] project starts with the veteran and designer getting to know each other over a cup of coffee, the concept to create the [HAS HEART] Coffee Shop came to fruition on Veterans Day 2023.
Why is this the “2nd Best Cup of Coffee in the World”?
Just ask our baristas.
Thanks to the platform ArtPrize created for the community to come together around art, the [HAS HEART] Coffee Shop is now open daily to continually build a supportive community around our creative outlet for veterans’ stories to be heard, seen, and experienced. All of these impactful designs from the past 12 years are here because of this crazy idea called ArtPrize. Your support has enabled us to open, and now, your vote will help keep our doors open to all.
In addition to the showcasing the world’s 2nd best cup of coffee, each of the shadow box tables feature our different ArtPrize exhibits throughout the past 12 years.
Next time you’re in, take a moment to browse each one and see which ones you remember! It’s always fun when supporters will share their stories of past designs and the impacts they have had on them. It’s a bonus when folks come in wearing one of the past year’s designs, too!
